What is education? The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

The Maranatha SDA Education Ministry is dedicated to educating Christians and emphasizing Christian education.  We believe that true education is the "harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers" (Ed 13.1). Because of this belief, we emphasize more than just the academic aspect of K-12 schooling. We strive to encourage the total physical, spiritual and mental growth of children, youth, adults and seniors, preparing students "for the joy of service in this world and for the higher joy of wider service in the world to come" (Ed 13.1). 

Education announcements:

High School seniors, the priority filing deadline for Oakwood University Admissions was February 28:
Priority filer’s deadline for the fall is February 28th of each year. This means that a student must complete the F.A.F.S.A. and turn in all requested documents by February 28th of each year. This will ensure that the student is awarded BEFORE fall registration. (Being “awarded” allows the student to know how much aid they have to use to pay for their education. If more aid is needed please contact the office at 1-800-824-5321.)
If you have missed the deadline you will still be served, but you should note that the beginning to the end of the entire process could take from 6 -9 weeks.
